Revitalization of the Sea Front

The competition for ideas within the revitalization of the sea front of Poreč, Croatia, 2006 / project selected by the jury / idea for reorganization of green areas

The city of Porec is an ancient city where the strong roman axis are present; cardo and decumanum. It’s also called a city of mosaic, so the main concept is mosaic that later was convert into the pixel.
The cardo and decumanum are the guides for the position of pixels.

Pixels are used as modules to organise the area; green areas, pedestrian areas.
They are different sizes and interactive. They are also used as horizontal signals, so they can lead you to some monuments or to squares.

Tema centrale del progetto è la riqualificazione paesaggistica di un bordo della laguna veneziana. "Lavorare sui bordi", sui confini, sui margini intesi come luoghi di una potenzialità inespressa o espressa per frammenti.
